Any clearing up on this would be appreciated...I'm using Sonar3 Studio and Battery for my drums. I would like to modulate a filter cutoff with the note-on velocity of the drum hits. As Battery has no filter, I would need to use either Sonar or the filter plug-in to accomplish the modulation. I've looked around in Sonar for some kind of remapping ability, but have come up with nothing so far. And I have as yet not chosen a filter, and am open to suggestions.

words of guidance please?

If Battery has no filters then you can't control it with Sonar. You would have to insert a filter plugin on the outputs of Battery. Then you can use Sonar's automation to draw in the changes for the plugin.
