Subject: The Reason Arpeggiator...WTF?

Hey
I hope someone can clarify this for me. I have created an arpeggiator in Reason 3, using a Malstom synth, Spider CV and 2 Matirix pattern sequencers. This is all well and good, but I cannot for the life of me get it to copy to the sequencer and play on cue. I know I m doing something wrong, but what? Oh what? I assume that individual tracks are needed for each semitone change etc.
On a realated note, I can t get the matrix device pattern to function on the sequencer either, even when not part of the arpeggiator. I see someone else ( a long while ago) had the same problem.
Please give me a clue. I am a novice with Reason and this is bugging the hell out of me.
