I had this in my old computer running win98. I am now on XPsp2 and have installed the yamaha with the accompaning sound compatable midi but i have no sound coming through the speakers. Midi is recognised - but not the yamaha. Not sure what to do next? Any advice would be wonderful. It would help a damsel in distress.

well what soundcard is it on?.. have you looked to see the db50 is listed in MIDI devices in windows or in a sequencer?... tbh it is so long since i used mine, it sits in a box on the shelf, not sure if winxp is a roblem, i'd have thought if the card it is mounted on is visible then the xg would be too, not sure

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!
