cool!! this now means a faster cool cheaper option for mac music making:

Mac mini

Apple have also released a new (and slightly overdue) Mac mini which, as touted by many, features a Thunderbolt port and Intel's latest processors.
You now have the option of a dual-core i5 or i7 and up to 8GB of RAM (with 4GB becoming the new default). They've also been given a huge boost in memory and offer 500GB hard drives. If that's not enough, it also features a removable panel which allows you to make upgrades.
The addition of a Thunderbolt port now offers unprecedented connectivity: you can daisy-chain up to six Thunderbolt devices as well as enjoying astonishing transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps.Far from being alone, the Thunderbolt port is joined by a FireWire 800 connection, four USB ports, an SDXC card slot and a HDMI port that allows you to connect straight into any HDTV. As with the MacBook Air, this also includes Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology. All these features, crammed into the tiny Mac mini will cost you a mere £529.

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws. I call it... Big Jaws!
