Please help! I purchased a technics 1200 MK II over the internet. So excited to be
able to play my records on a decent machine... However, the first one didn't work -
no power whatsover. The second one has power, but the sound output is really
quiet, even on full volume. I've checked the amp by plugging in my old little record
player and it works perfectly. I've checked all the wires - all fine - and checked I've
wired up the stylus correctly with a DJ friend, and this is all fine. Very frustrated,
and wanted to know if anyone has any idea as to what the problem could be? If the
stylus (brand new) is damaged would this effect the volume? Or perhaps I haven't
balanced the arm correctly? I've followed the instructions to the letter, and
rechecked so many times... Could it be a faulty turn-table, or have I missed
something when setting it up? Any help/direction HUGELY appreciated.
