These cans are often rated as excellent for studio use or deejaying, but you must be aware they massively hype the bass & to some extent also the top-end, so it is very hard to get a mix in them, but if you wanna hear hyped bass, then go for it. They are well built and due to the tiny size of the fat padded cups which actualy sit on the ear rather than "around" the ear, they are also very comfortable to wear... but the bass hype... I can't decide if they are good or not; excellent for ipod etc listening for sure, cos you get the big bass missing from typical "walkman" style headphones, but for studio?... I'd go and check them first if possible.

These headphones are not as good as people say they are. The frequency response is not flat and they boost the bass and some higher frequencies. This helps in dj-mixing, but using these in studio in producing is not the best choice. And the worst thing I can say about these is that they don't quite sit in my head at all! The ear pads push my ears and I cannot find a comfortable position for them.It feels like they're falling off my head all the time. I suggest you try some headphones which's earpads cover your ears completely, like beyerdynamic dt990, 880 or the sennheiser hd600. In addition they sound alot better than these.
