The Korg 1212 I/O...... It comes as a PCI card, with PC & Mac ASIO drivers for VST.... also functions with most other s/w..... Although listed here as a multi-out card (which it can be, and ultimately is it's purpose & design), this card comes as an analog in & out & s/pdif config.... but, it has an ADAT interface to route to digital mixers, an actual adat, or any adat complient interface such as the two actually provided by Korg themselves....the 8-channel 880A/D and 880D/A interfaces, (see soundcard list), which connect via the 1212 I/O's ADAT optical I/O this allows you to add-on 8 outputs with the addition of an adat interface to take you beyond stereo out if needed......
The card also works of course with Korgs 'Soundlink' digital mixing hardware, but would function as happily with something like the Yamaha O series mixers etc....
All inputs and outputs can be used at the same time, for simultaneous recording and playback.....you can also transfer audio from one format to another-such as from ADAT optical to S/PDIF and back again.
A very solid reliable card with good support from a major company.... Well worth a look....
