Ok, here's the video review of the Hanns.G HG221A 22" LCD monitor, a super value screen ideal for home-studio use due to it's price, screen width and ability to be placed quite close to a rear wall, thus offering maximum desktop space.

These screens can be found at computer fairs everywhere right now and can't be overlooked if you want lots of screen for little money... ok, carry on...

Excellent video thanks. I am making my purchase in two days time after three years of trouble with my Viewsonic VX924 I have decided to go back a step from DVI and return to simple VGA ........... I tested both using my VX924 and to be honest there is no difference unless you look really REALLY hard.

Looking forward to the HG221A

That is amazing. You have the same name and the same issue. I also had a dual screen VX924 Viewsonic setup and had nothing but rtrouble from day one. After two swap-outs in under three years with the VX924 they have still degraded incredibly and finally one of them failed and the Viewsonic back-up for out-of-warranty is crap.

So I have just bought two new HG221A monitors using the good old VGA input and they are just the job for normal everyday viewing. You will love them.

The only sting in the tail is that this week I found out that the HannsG out-of-warranty service is performed by the exact same company that does Viewsonic .............. oh dear ! Let just hope they will never ever need to use them :-)
