I bought the Boss BR-1180 CD in 2011 from ebay, i paid £180 . It arrived in the orriginal box with manual and a Boss drum loops CD still wrapped. the unit it in new condition without o mark on it. I previously had a Roland VS-890 eight track which is a good piece of kit but i found it hard to use just cos i was a novice i guess. The BR-1180 is so much user friendly, easy to call up the effects with just one touch of a button with lots of preset effects for guitar, bass vocals keyboards and drum machines although it has it's own bulit in drum machine which sounds ok i am having trouble understanding how to use. But in terms of just plug in and play/record it really is quite simple to use, you'll master that part in five minutes, and ther rest of the manuall is easy to read and understand unlike my Roland manualls (all 3 of them) they had not been translated well enough so it made a difficult enough task even harder, but still a good machine though. So i would highly recomend the BR-1180 it is limited to recording on only two tracks at a time (unlike the VS-890) but for a lot of people recording at home it is not a problem. Good value for money specialy at under £200
