it's not there
freeware utopia synth has an unconventional engine for generating synthetic analog style hats, more in the style of the low oscillator count machines like the dr-110. load is very light on cpu
you will notice some of the knobs are 'shoehorned' into the gui as an obvious update from the original design. i need time to make music too! items may still be selected discretely even on bad mouse days, and i admit to favouring the 'add-on' aesthetic (see below..)
'ratio:' the way i generally sequence hihats is to use a short decay and a long release, so that a closed hat is programmed with a 'long' note and an open hat is a very short note. i thought i'd try something a little different with utopia, so as you increase the ratio slider, the decay shortens and the release lengthens, so you can program your closeds at maximum note length and opens at minimum, and then play with the ratio to get the right feel. i haven't made up my mind if i like this method better than d/r, it's just different.
oh yeah!
Wow xoxos. What a talented guy you are. This is a pretty cool synth. The user waveshaper is a very neat idea. This synth absolutely has its big niche. I hope you keep on going with it.
you're trippin norsez - all of my plugs are made with synthedit.. a free modular synth that exports ensembles to vsti.. www.synthedit.com
so yes, that waveshaper is a very neat idea! but don't not check out my other synths if you're looking for freeware.. i tried to offer what is not available elsewhere..
great stuff...
xoxos-stuff stands for fine work-for a lot of usefull free synthesizers on the vsti-plattform...
so thank you very much for this!
