STOMPER - Yeah !!.....It's one of those programmes that really makes your day !......Simple to use, excellent results, and it works....No nags......No disables save etc......Not only is Zap a clever dude, but he aint greedy either - It's FREE !!....
I've included a reduced size screenshot so you can get the idea of the layout....This programme allows you to create simple sound waves.....from 909 kik drums, to game type Zaps & Thunks !!....hey...it ain't just about drum waves either....this Stomper will create absolutely WICKED sub-basses an stuff too !!
The programme comes with a pallette of ready created sounds such as a variety of 909 kiks, snares, hi-hatz, games noises etc.....All the sounds are created with software, no samples at all....and it really does create the best 909 kiks I've heard outside of the real thing....Well what I mean by that is......they sound like the real thing, but with this software you can go so much further to create truly awesome original sounds......hey, you can utilise up to 32 oscillators !!!
So lookit......just download this baby now !!......This software doesn't clock to midi or anything like that - ( at least not on the version I've got)..... You simply create raw samples which once perfected are exported to a .WAV file from where they can be sampled or included in a hard disk audio session, tracker or whatever....Brilliant....!!
I think it would be true to say, that this is the drums version of something like the excellent Rebirth or Rubberduck software....It's that good !!!.......If you loved Rebirth or Rubberduck etc....You'll LURV this "Stomper" programme......it'll provide LOADS of sounds - in fact - these algorythms are included in the new ASRX PRO cos they approached ZAP and got a licence to include them in their new model !!... so if it's good enuff for Ensoniq to put in a major product there ya go people !....
Nice one Zap......... This programme really put a smile on my face !.....You also get a very witty intro when installing the programme, and Zap's even included a game of tetris to play when you get a break from creating your wicked original drum sounds bleeps & blips etc !!!.........So....get it downloaded....You'll never need an analog drum, blip, skweek or sub-bass sample again !!!... in fact, cos of the max 32 steps which can be assigned to oscillators OR filters, you can create synth & basslines patterns long - it'll easily create basslines or 303 type patterns that you can export into your music.... wicked !!....
