blaster models drums with one - or two - heads with ringy snare drum harmonics in mind. two sine oscillators are seperately modulated by a tuned noise source and pitch envelope, and fed through a filter. a seperately amplified (decay and release.. attack is shared) and filtered noise oscillator adds extra snap/rattle. the patch can be scaled for a semitone rise over your whole keyboard if that's what you need.
blaster is a unique vsti for snares and toms, does congas and hand percussion nicely as well.
there is no included manual, but i believe only two functions require explanation:
the type knob in the filter section fades between a band pass filter (far left) and a high pass filter {far right.}
the modulation noise source runs through a filter (mod f and mod r) and is then trimmed to modulate each oscillator ('mod' - far left returns unmodulated oscillator, ie. sine wave.)
