Freeware pc VSTi monosynth.
SynthOne is a basic monophonic VST instrument featuring 3 oscillators (saw, pulse and square) and a filter bank with a resonant 24dB lowpass, highpass and bandpass filter as you can see in the screenshot below. The VST instrument also supports VST automation and its CPU consumption is very low. SynthOne is still in development.

That's the Sonicbits site info - SynthOne is a basic monosynth, but it's free so why not add it! - even small vsti synths like this each have a slightly diffeent character, so give it a go!
