Synapse Audio Software Scorpion

Sonic Syndicate are famous for bringing probably the best s/w workstation to the market as an indie company in the last years, and that was ORION.... and they also make synths... Initialy with ORION's first release the synths were dedicated to the programme, like with Reason, but with the new ORION Pro, they added VSTi capability & perhaps this small s/w synth is a taste of things to come from the S.Syndicate crew, after all, it works in ORION and in other s/w's so it pays to make VSTi's ....

Scorpion is a 2 Osc' synth, polyphonic, with some nifty features to give it a wide soundmaking scope... I've only played breifly with Scorpion, but S.Syndicate claim it'll get you Nord Lead type sounds... well, I HAVE spent alot of time with their WASP & Wavedream synths, and once you get into these guys synths you usualy find you can get really good sounds out of them, so give this one a go why not!...

2 Oscillators w/ Coarse+Fine tuning
Osc Inv switch toggles Osc-2 polarity, that way square, pwm etc sounds are generated
Osc Flip switch toggles the polarity of Osc-2 every time Osc-1 has finished a cycle (similar to Osc Sync)
Ring Modulator
LFO which can modulate osc pitch, filter cutoff or both
Amplitude ADSR Envelope

Sonic Syndicate offer a restricted demo download which of course CAn be used to create audio rendered loops, but you cant save edits or use automation features... still, you can certainly discover if you want to shell out the measly 39 bucks to get it...
