Old roland synth
The Roland PROMARS..... please add your comments
Amazing sounding machine! Basically a monophonic Jupiter 4. Very rare. Depeche used one in the early days. Get the Jup 4 over this if you can, but at least I can carry the Promars without injuring my back! I still use it in every song I produce - I can't live without it!
I used a PROMARS on the latest recording of THE ROBOCOP KRAUS.
Its got really great hard filtersounds with a wide range.
Youn can find the record on the above webpage.
Yours, Pilli
great and very warm sound
there is one VCO + antoher hidden VCO + a sub-oscillo
he can sing : a unique sound from vintage
i love it
very interesting site
I own a promars and i think it's great. It's one of the few monophonic synths to have memory patches (8) and a second VCO which you can detune in two different positions. THis synth sound really great, looks good and fat, and doesn't cost that much.
hello
i looking for the UA726 for my synth
have you one solution for replace or where have i this componement
thank
I recently bought a Promars Synth. I must say I totally love its sound. It has a big bottom, compared to my SH-101 and MC-202 that used to be my bass machines it easily outperform them. Double Jupiter VCO here, and you can clearly hear them !!! The shop was trying to steal me 600 Euro for it, I gave them my not-used-in-years Chroma Polaris and brought back the beast. I use it with a Doepfer MAUSI Midi-CV interface with no problems.
I've owned this Synth for about 7 years and i absolutely love it!! the sounds really are so big that it makes
it impossible to ignore.
I have a roland sh-32 which generally does a pretty good job of producing pretty big analog sounds, but
there's nothing like the real thing, i've used the promars on pretty much every recording i've made for the
last 7 years and countless gigs as well(it is a bit of a nightmare live to be honest) i wouldn't trade it for
anything!!
anyone one to buy mine for parts, spares or very intensive repair?
