it's not there Korg Delta DL-50

Korg Delta DL-50

The classic & rare Korg DL-50 Strings Machine.

The Korg Delta was part of the Korg series of synths given Greek name titles - The Sigma, Lamda & Delta. These were Korgs main 3 units until the much more powerful Trident arrived in 1980. While the Sigma & Lamda were essentially preset player units, the Delta offered full synthesis sections & was essentially a combi synth & string machine which while not delivering a wealth of sound variety, is respected for doing the little that it does very well indeed!

The Korg Delta is similar to the rarer Italian Chase Trilogy unit, having seperate string & synth sections on the front panel, each with their own dedicated controls & functions, and again like the Chase Trilogy these sections both have their own dedicated physical outputs on the rear of the unit. It's polyphonic although it uses divide-down oscillator technology like most early organs & other early units such as from Arp and others. You get plenty of notes playable at once - 49 in total, one per key basically - but they are all derived from the same master oscillator rather than being delivered on a one oscillator per voice basis.

The Delta is a rare beastie with it's own sound, check out some of the youtube demos for how it sounds.

Shame theres no real control over this string/ poly synth as it sounds quite nice. editing is really limited though.

THIS MACHINE IS ABSOLUTELY UNDERRATED!

OKEY, ITS A VERY EASY TO USE SYNTH AND THE POSSIBILTIES ARE NOT VERY BIG.

BUT ITS ANALOG, ITS FULLY POLYPHONICAL, IT HAS A MULTIFILTER (LOW AND HIPASS) WHO SOUNDS NEARLY LIKE THE KORG MS10/20/50. THE STRING AND SYNTHSECTION CAN BE MIXED SEPARATELY.

AND THE THING THAT MAKES THIS SYNTH A GREAT SYNTH IS, THE FILTER AND THE GATEINPUTS. WITH THIS 2 INPUTS YOU CAN MAKE AMAZING SOUNDEFFECTS, EVOLVING PAD, OR FUNKY BASSLINES.

WHAT I MISS IS, THE CV INPUT FOR THE OSCILLATOR, AND A SECOND ENV-GENERATOR...

I REALLY LIKE MY KORG DELTA!!!

for a second EG, you can patch the Trig out on the Delta to Trig in on a
semi/modular which triggers an ADSR envelope on that device, then patch the
ENV out on the semi/modular back into the VCF in on the Delta. So you get a
second Envelope for the Filter
It works with the MS20 - I´ve tested it
