Old classic Moog synth.
Ok.... I'm gonna add all the old vintage synths... not that i've used them all myself.. but i'm gonna add the spec's asap, then people can add comments based on real-life use.... so , as i had nothing to do today, i thought i'd start to add them as basic page templates... then add the spec's later....so...

Ack! I love this synth! I got one really cheap at a pawn shop, I saw it sitting there, checked the prices online, tested it out and it worked perfectly. Its a really great a cheap way to get that unique mood sound.

This synth is really nice, although it is simple. Its got two oscillators that can be synced together, an LFO that can either modulate the pitch or the filter,or both. Its got cutoff and res and has a dedicated envelope for the amp and filter.

While Ive only had this synth for a few days, I really enjoy playing it. Its wonderful to have all the controls right there to edit the sound as you please and this thing really screams when you program it right.

Ive been recording samples into my phrase sampler and looping them into peices and it works out really really well. I would certainly recommend this synth to anybody who would like a minimoog but doesnt want to shell out all the cash.

i love this mashine. i hade one before (when the model was new). I regret so that a sold it!!!

The sound is increadible, its easy to program, the oscillator is stable. In many ways the Prodigy was better than the mimiMoog i have now. I miss it!

For all of you prodigy users, I just finished making this diagram (see link) and now whenever you make a cool patch, you can print one of these out and just color it in, quickly and easily.

what a beautiful wood cabinet that prodigy has.... That last coment reminded me, does anyone know of a patch sheet for the wonderful Moog/Realistic MG-1? I would love to make one but i don't have the computer programs to pull it off. come to think of it, dancetech needs an MG-1 page.......

I have had one of these for years, I'd never get rid of it. Moog purists loath them. That's because you can get the same sound as a Minimoog from one. They also have "sync" which its older brother did't. No noise generator, but thats not the end of the world. Cheaper than the Minimoog and just as good.

A supposedly cut down cheaper version of the Minimoog. Similar overall sound but nowhere near as versatile or as diverse. Much, much cheaper but nowhere near as good! If you've ever actually *played* both you'd see the differences are quite apparent.

This is THE synth to have if you want to do knob-tweaking rock solos that just blow everything else you've ever heard out of the water.

You can change things very quickly - there aren't many knobs
You can predict what effect each tweak will have on the sound
You can get to know it like you would a good violin
It's a Moog, so it sounds fantastic.

i own 2. totally demolishes the little phatty and voyager for tone. using 2 of the 3
oscillators found in the model d minimoog so if you can? get your hands on
one of these. probably one of the best sounding mono synths around :)
