The Alesis MMT8 is a very commonly available sequencer.... not a big memory, and no disk drive, so it's bulk dumps & loads ups for storage......a good little unit to go out and play live... you can load it up from your pc or whatever... bear in mind the memory is low tho....
Inputs:
MIDI in, tape sync in, cassette in.
Outputs:
MIDI out, thru, cassette out.
data Transmitted:
MIDI, Song Position Pointer, FSK24 (tape sync)
Secondary data storage:
Sysex dump, tape.
Memory size:
10,000 notes. 100 songs, 8 tracks, 100 patterns.
Anyone know of some good places to look in London for a couple of second-hand MMt8s?
A great piece of kit let down by those rubber buttons.

I am responding to someone who is asking for an Alesis MMT8 multi track midi recorder. i have one. respond to e-mail address.
got my mmt8 in 1989...used it in a duo and it never messed up on stage...ever! i recorded about 100 tunes..and im talkin zep,cream, hendrix,grandfunk,santana,chicago...and we sounded like 6-7pc.horn band..it was a gass...now im 62..i havent done any new tunes in 15 years...im back into recording and cant remember how to set the volumes...i remembered prog.changes, and can get all the instruments in the rite place...butt cant get the volumes to set up right....please..any help would be appreciated..its gotta be somthin simple..!?! i have no manuel...oh and by the way..im fixin to try bohemian rapsody...what a gas... slick foreman
