NorthPole is a well known & poular free plugin from Prosoniq. It also has an envelope follower which is quite cool and an added delay section plus distortion. The filter itself offers bandpass or lo-pass filtering & all is programmeable in VST compatible s/w's so you can make automation moves etc.
It's quite a cool little plugin... use it to get wonky pwanging Bootsy style funk on your basslines or loops, to do straight sweeps and filter moves or add some cool filtering delays etc etc.. versatile & widely used as it's been around as a freebie for at least 4 years....
