free VST compressor limiter gate plugin, for mac, osx & pc.

Yup... MDA (Maxim Digital Audio have been around for years and were one of the first to bring a clutch of free plugins for VST... Most people already have them, but in-case newbies don't know... The plugins are superb!!

This one is called 'Dynamics' and is a compressor/limiter with an added gate... The limiter is seperate from the comp' and you can apply compression and add an overall hard limiter to further restrain the output if you like... add to that a little gate and there ya go!... Nice freeware comp', nice & light on the cpu, & it pumps good with the right settings!!

We now host all the MDA FX plugs for both Mac & PC... checkout the FILES section and do a search for 'MDA' or you'll find them under the CLASS selection of: 'VST_FX_APP'

I love the excellent MDA de-esser, but not this dynamics unit! Comp is quite
slappy, gate opens abruptly like a switch. It heightens appreciation of the
quick-setting highly visual Apple dynamics processor.
On my Leopard Mac, the MDA plugin filled my headphones with a brief but
intense burst of noise. It's hard to be kind after that!
