it's not there
The famous JV2080 sounds in the cheap 1010 version - big 64 note poly, and it takes one Roland expansion card too - worth a good look for a classy but cheaper digital synth module.... over 1200 presets before adding the expansion board
"The compact and affordable Roland JV-1010 64-Voice Synthesizer Module offers a staggering array of 1,023 professional-quality Roland instrument sounds right out of the box, as well as sound expansion and effects capabilities which put it far ahead of any sound module in its class. The GM-compatible JV-1010 contains the complete sound set of Roland's professional JV-2080 sound module-640 Preset Patches and 128 Use Patches-as well as all 255 Patches from Roland's "Session" wave expansion board.
Essential to Roland's JV-Series sound modules is their expandability, and the JV-1010 is no exception. It includes an additional slot for installing any of Roland's 15 wave expansion boards, ranging from Orchestral to Vintage Synth to Hip-Hop."
Sounds nice huh ?.... well I thought i'd add it to the lists as it looked like a cheap bargain - price someone ?.... I'll try to get a spec' list up soon, need to know more about the editing capabilities etc.... comments please -
Not sure how much this will help ya, but the Canadian pricing is around $719.99 as of 05/20/99. I'll probably be pickin one up myself soon...
This sounds pretty cool, anybody know if it has seperate outs?
This machine sounds excellent, and makes a very good first synthesizer. Has also got a serial interface, so you can hook it up directly to a pc or mac, without MIDI interface. I can recommend this machine, although the controlling the machine via it's buttons is a dog. A good editor is included, sounddiver for jv1010, it has no individual outs.
Just amazing. 2nd hand it's so cheap that I can't believe. Nothing comes close for that price, nothing. I mean budget-all-around module. I use it mainly for pianos, strings and some pads. Sessious and E-bank sounds are great and other (except GM-bank) are usable too. There is only one stereo output and that is only big complain. My other stuff is Yamaha AN1x, couple (two) of Roland M-VS1, Korg Wavestation SR, Waldorf Pulse, Peavey Spectrum Synth and this is good addition for my setup.
where can I find a cubase patch script for my roland jv-1010?
please help,
thanks,
randy
Does anyone know where I might download a owners manual(.pdf) for the JV-1010?
Thanx,
Link
Found one on eBay for $20
I guess this is potentially a great piece of equipment. Sounds are generally excellent but it's very complex and the manual sucks sucks sucks. Fact is (Roland doesn't clue you into this one in all the promos) if you want the complete Soundiver manual so you will really know what the heck you're doing when you hook it up to your computer, you have to shell out another $35. Thanks Roland. Still I have to say for the price it does a lot.
