GlaceVerb is Dasample's first attempt to implement its works on Residual Vector Modulation (RVM) in a VST plugin. RVM is a proprietary algorithm developed to calculate the deformations, the vibrations and the acoustic response of surfaces and materials.

Imagine a big orchestra playing in a giant box builded with thin metal sheets. As the panels are not very rigid, the box will vibrate according to the energy of music and produce an audible spectral deformation. RVM algorithm is able to simulate such deformations and vibrations and apply them to the original signal.

GlaceVerb is the only VST reverberation plugin able to modelize liquid acoustic spaces like water. In use it's a nice plugin to use, with a dense but not muddy sound, full yet not overpowering and mushy. One slight irritation (and it's VERY slight) is that when loading a Glaceverb preset they tend to load with the WET control set to about 50% or sometimes the DRY control is at 50% too, or sometimes the WET control is almost off... only a minor grumble becuse it takes a second to adjust the WET & DRY amounts if using as a send or insert effect.

On the plus side, (and it's all plus's frankly with this plugin), you get ALOT of presets to cover all typical studio reverb uses from drums to strings from mastring sheen to vocals etc etc, and full VST control for realtime tweaking. The additional 'BASS' control is nice a useful addition to roll off bottom end without having to add-in an equaliser for quick tweaking.
