Tannoy Reveals are sheilded against pc screens, and are also a great nearfeild.

Tannoy Reveal Monitors passiv- Nearfield-Monitors for Studio applications (pair!), 65Hz.-20 Khz. Shielded case, linear frequency spectrum, 50W / 8 Ohms, WHD 210 x 340 x 260, Weight: 14 kg.

Tannoy have been around yonks, and this is their most popular home-studio speaker I think... The Reveal & the Reveal Active... nearfield freindly & sheilded magneticaly for use around your computer screen... in that respect there is very little choice on the market so worth a thought...

Apparently it has an extremely detailed, dynamic sound with a wide, flat frequency response. They use a 25mm soft dome tweeter matched with a 165mm long-throw bass unit by a hard-wired, low-loss crossover.

Got a pair of the Reveal Actives about 3 weeks ago and I'm really delighted with em. They give a clean, uncoloured sound and are comfortable to work with for long periods. I went for actives as a lazy option not wanting to spend hours comparing various power amp/monitor configurations. The only preferable options I looked at were about twice the price

I AM THE ONE WHO RAVED ABOUT THE TANNOY system 8s. i never said i liked the reveals. sorry but i never liked those speakers. all of the system 8 and 10 and 12 and 15s sound real good.
