There are two JBL Control 5 models, black or white...

JBL Control 5WH - 245.00 euro EACH - (AS22370)

The Control 5 is a high performance, wide range control monitor loudspeaker suitable for use as the primary source in a variety of applications. They are enclosed in some type of semi-soft or rather non-brittle nylon/plastic moulded unit which is quite nice and they have a sorta smooth but detailed sound to my ears.

The 165mm (6.5") low frequency driver and 25mm pure titanium dome tweeters are magnetically shielded for use in close proximity to video monitors which is useful as there is few to choose from which are lower-priced and available.

There is also a complete range of mounting systems for the Control 5.... anyone use or used them?... feel free to leave some user comments please..

I have five JBL Control 5 speakers in my livingroom and I use them to music listening and home theatre. They sound REALLY great with only 60watts RMS each.

I have an old pair of control 5s, same as pic, got mine with blown tweeters, so i replaced 'em with std units from Maplins, sound ok, never heard them with original but anyone know where I can get jbl units? & how much�!

Hi every one.

We have recently brought JBL control 5 studio monitors for our studio. They are very good. I felt it sound a little high on upper mid Freq!!!
over all its very good!

Tweeters for JBL Control 5s are available at Cimple Spares and cost �29.68 each. They are know as Control 5 HF units and have the product code C5003.

This sounds a lot but it is well worth it to hear the incredibly accurate sound that these speakers reproduce.

Bought my (used) Control 5's in the mid 90's so owned em for about 14 years - sheesh sounds like ages.

Great speakers, very clear but been gathering dust for the past 3 years. After reading other peoples posts about using em as home theatre speakers I might have to dig em out n keep em!

Did check ebay for used selling prices about a year ago - they were going 2nd for over �100, since i only paid about �130 - turned out to be a great investment.

They worth every dollar i pay for them, i own 4 ctrl5+sub2 and movies sound
just like the cinema sometimes even better. after 25 years they sound almost
the same as new. Do not hesitate to buy them or keep them.
