Tanny Series 800 are the bigger grown up sister of the smaller Series 600.
As with the 600's there is two in the 800 Series models - The Series 800 (passive), and the more expensive Series 800A (active).
These speakers feature Tannoy's world-famous dual-concentric speaker design, where the tweeter is mounted right in the middle of the bass woofer driver rather than having the tweeter located away from the main woofer driver elsewhere on the cabinet. This makes for spot-on stereo imaging as the sound-source emanates from a single central point for each speaker, so you get a great stereo image even if you are not right in the 'sweet-spot' in the very exact midle of the stereo listening feild.... As a consequence Series 600 & 800 have Tannoy's famous flat clear even sound with great detail & imaging... excellent speakers if you can afford 'em...
