A nice enough machine. It's not as easily editable as a Virtual Analog (e.g. JP-8000) due to a lack of knobs and sliders, but its 4 faders allow for decent realtime mods.
Not quite as warm as an analogue, but it's got nice enough subtractive filters and LFOs. So when you turn up the "Analog feel" it kicks shit out of most older digital synths. The sequencer is very complex, but that's what makes it so professional.

I have been using one since they first came out, once I'd figured out how to use the sequencer it was quite easy, i hate the grotty little viewing screen and can only work for short periods if I'm to avoid a headache. Surely it's about time we could plug in a decent sized monitor, lets face it, most people have an old one kicking around.

Still a worthwhile investment. No shortage of users and support. A whole feast to the listener. To the player however the controls are not quite as user friendly as more contempory synths such as the v-synth. The sounds are great. there are tons of free patches available on the web. Easily the most popular synth in it's day. A truly remarkable workstation which has a booming user community on synthzone.com for example

Is it because you have no concept of how what you've bought works??? I have a sneaking suspicion you don't have it connected to anything. Is that right? Apologies if I am wrong, but it never ceases to amaze me how people get hold of (and can afford) items they know nothing about.

expantion cards to it and I am amazed how it brings out even more in
this old lady... I was determined to sell her, but now I don't know...

I also have this keyboard and it still is a great keyboard. However, as others have mentioned, the LCD display is not blank, but very dim. I noticed that there is no knob on the outside in order to adjust the LCD display.

Is there one on the inside? I would assume it MUST have one.
