can we get rid of all the posers and get down to some
real tips concerning timberlands drum programming? i don't think there is anyone out there who wants to be timberlands' clone. What we all are looking for is the
formula on how he composes some of his stuff.(and don't
tell me it's not a formula because if you look long enough you'll notice the pattern) I personally like what he's doing but wish to expound on it. So those in the know please point the misguided in the right direction and posers pleeeeasssse stop wasting time and
energy stringing along people with b.s. and half truths
which you know nothing about. True beatmasters please
come save the day and wanna beees step da F#@k OFF!!!

well i dont have time or the funds to waste on buying lots of cd's to get audio Timbaland beats, all the timbaland ra file sites on the www are typically 'NOT FOUND' besides, i need short mpgs of a a beat really - - so as i say post up mpg (not whole track, NOT big files) somewhere i can grab, and i'll check out the SPECIFIC beats and reproduce them as drum files - so yes i agree with slanti, but do something about it if you want to know cos i aint got time to do it for you. either post up some files or drop the subject and stop wasting space or alternatively send me a few hundred in cash and i'll buy the cd's !!!... if not, post some files.

Um....as far as breaking down Tim's style, that's not exactly what I'm
into...BUT part of what lets his beats carry tracks the way they do is he
doesn't let other instruments get in the way. Every other sound is there to
HELP the drum groove. Anyway, you can just go to my loops site and
download great drum loops (I promise they're outstanding (even if they're
not Timbaland's) - or you can flame me to the end of time. Go to
http://www.mp3.com/LoopDoggyDogg and let me know whatch'ya think.
Peace.

alot of timba's stuff i've heard seems to use a sampler looped, then they are just manually 'playing' the beat/loop back subtly altering the end-time of the key release to vary the gap between loop starts and give it a sorta 'live-skratched' feel to the beats - sounds like it to me, i can 100% say that alot of the beats do NOT have a fixed length per loop... i'll check that link
