oooo, I Like this much.
I think maybe some those cymbals could go for a tad bit of good ol' verb (only
some, I def. like the effect it gives on certain hits w/o reverb). Other than that I
totally dig the beat, and it sure is a pretty song.

thanks mike! i'm really glad you enjoyed it.
her cd is quite good....let me know if you're interested.
they're going for 8 + postage.

as for the welder remix....this one has taken me a week of evenings and the end is still unfinished>> but easily worth a listen.

i just love his initial melody and the synth-sound he gave me to work with.
we've been arguing as to when a remix is a joint songwriting effort and when it is not....and i say even though i added several parts to his piece it is still HIS song
since his initial vibe and melody basically determined the soul of the piece.
just as if someone took and added a ton of synths and beats and lead-guitars to dylan's
"a hard rain's gonna fall"...it would still be a bob dylan song.
that said...this is ragnarok's latest melodic idea and song...and it's a beauty..
plus he gave me 2 very tasty drum bits to start with. i added a low conga pattern and the bright-hats and the beat at the end.
the end needs some reworking for purposes of clarification and drama.
enjoy.

something..?

i'm just about wrapping up the final mix (i hope)....so give me til around 9:30 tonite.

i think it sounds pretty good...rags' theme is just hypnotic.
i've always liked his stuff but this one is probably my fave.
needless to say....i've really enjoyed working on this track.

duh! heh.
Oh yes, this is def. worth the listen. I picked up a pair of KRK's today src='images/ok.gif'>, so I can really hear songs now! This is really beautiful. Oh
man, yes....! That percussive bass that comes in is brilliant!
I like how every sound has it's place in the mix and each one fits with the next.
The ending is always tricky, no? That and the beginning (for me at least).
You got my vote when it's done for sure!

OK, i've added a new delimiter to strip out the bracket and now it'll play on this site

thing is, i dont think you appreciate the ludicrous characters in some titles or user names - you can either:

1. strip it all out and just use a random filename (which we do) that removes un-streamable & un-downloadable filenames so they will all play - before we did this the filenames being added were ludicrous and over half of them wouldnt play

2. then you arrive at issue 2 - what if the user hasnt encoded a title with the mp3 they upload? - if it's in the player running, (and that covers various media players) & there's no title, you might not remember which track you clicked on and which one you're listening too if you are listening and browsing at the same time

3. so we added the title-add bit to the code to try and assist this issue for at least most of the users media players, but that has to be parsable because it's not a title written into the file at source.

we went for the one that has the most chance of allowing the file to work/stream/download AND to display a title (without forcing the user to use some browser-based embeded player, and without insisting the user embeds a title in the file at source.)

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!
