Thanks for the article Automation...
In logic I wanna play my expression pedal (CC for wah)to control the plug-in parameter of Guitar Rig (it has a learn function) while playing guitar. I cant sent external CC (midi) in realtime to an audio object. I tried to cable everything but it doesnt work.
Thanks in advance!

sorry bout the lack of reply, christmas & all that.... first of all i never asked NI for a copy of guitar rig, so dont have it.... i'm not sure therefore how well the control works even with their own controller unit or if it's prone to bugs. I know those line-6 things had/have bugs sometimes, at the end of the day i would suspect that a good old Jim Dunlop analog pedal is always going to be the real deal

i'm a bit confused what you say about inability to send the controller to the plugin tho, it should be easy to LEARN the controller for the Guitar-Rig - mebbe you have some sort of MIDI loop?... btw, what version number of Logic r u using? (i assume v5.5 on PC yes?)

Thanks again!
Until last year I use to work with Macs but the prices here in Brazil are 3 times more than USA and the upgrades cost even more.
I use Logic PC 5.5 (I am proprietary of 2 plataforms because they dont offer me the option to cross plataform).
In Logic we can easy draw the parameters of the plugins via the track automation mode.
To play the paramenters in real time we have to put the plugin like an audio instrument and than in the right corner we can find the SIDECHAIN were we can put the audio source. Only now we can record and send automation in realtime. So the learn function doesnt work in audio objects.
The logic manual and helps dont show this, it show but it seams that only some Logic plugins have the sidechain option.
Via invironment its impossible too, you cant send midi direct to audio.
If you dont have new version of Guitar Rig you must try! For m its much more usable and a really diferent plugin than the first.
The incredible is that some presets with wah frozen and others works very well (but I still dont have corage to use it in a song - this after the optimization that i do in the response of my CC pedal via Motu MTP). some auto wahs are really good.
Happy new year!

aha... have you tried NOT using the track automation, but instead use the midi controller lane which you find in the piano roll edit (hyperdraw)

because the track automation is using sysex conversion afaik... the new logic has a converter on each channel which quickly remaps any controller input but old logic doesnt have this....
