Anyways, regardless of all that, the GOOD news is that there is a miriad of freeware filter and other plugs of that ilk which pretty much cover what the Ohmforce plugs do... wether they do it EXACTLY the same is a combination of how you use them really... so it's not the end of the world as there is plenty of other choices for a good automatable filter etc.
As to the raising of prices sketch, well that's an inevitability across the board with all products in all product areas, cars, houses, clothes, hi-fi, tv, they all tend to go up whilst previous technology gets relegated to the bargain basement prior to being phased out.
but for example, I can go and buy a 32" Panasonic widescreen Tv now with a 5 year waranty for around 850 quid in the UK... it's a TV, but it costs the price of a small cheap house from 30 years ago. When we were nippers my old man nearly bought an old chappel for us to live in (like all hippy families were were poor) and it was... £280 quid freehold!!
