steinberg is so lax about updates and when they do release
an update is tends to introduce all of these other bugs. i've
been using cubase from the get go and do love so many
aspects, but lately i've been having horrible crashes and
system overloads. then steinberg's policies regarding
updates with nuendo and sx are getting annoying.

so anyone switched to logic from cubase or sx on a mac
ans satisfied with the change?

i'm in between projects right now so it would be a good
time to switch. i have used logic before and found it a bit
more "illogical" than cubase, but maybe that could be
sorted with more time using it.

k? anyone?

There is a *cough* demo of Logic 5 for Mac. *cough*

Are you really meant to buy Logic without trying out a demo?

sx2 will be out sept 4th it seems with a load of new
features. guess i'll have to see how it fares.

i don't think it'll be $500 or they'd have a fullscale revolt on
their hands. hopefully it will be free or $100 tops from SX. i
can't fathom paying more than that when it's been nothing
but buggy crap since i got it.

I purchased VST32 and have no intention of giving Steinberg more money for me to beta their latest version, especially considering that, by all accounts, their version of SX had a chronic habit of crashing. I can't verify this but I've heard too many stories to ignore them.
