I just heard this for the milllionth time on the radio at the local pool room, and...honest to god, this is the first time I can remember ever noticing the massive compression on the drums in the intro.

am I just deaf...or...what? I mean..I know its a fairly common technique, and might even have been then, but...I was playin my game, heard the beat start and thought "whats this then? listen to that compression! that sounds awesome! holy crap its "Dont Bring Me Down!"

then the breakdown in the middle with that wierd sliding sound...

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

wilburys- orbison, dylan, petty, lynne and i cant remember the other one- pretty good actually...

i actually shamefully like elo (comes from having it rammed down me throat as a kid) and the production is generally very high- stuff like mr blue sky have such a fat sound
