hey...

so i'm going through the old threads on "what soundcard for me"-type questions. i'm wondering if that information (dated at least 1/2 year ago) is still good info? I mean, because pc hardware seems to advance so quickly.

any advice? I want it primarily for recording. Anything else is a bonus.

hey Mindspawn..speaking of the RME...

do you use that DigiCheck software? for an RTA, etc?

I got it, and..it seems incredibly inaccurate and a bit annoying..

any experience with it?

Can't go wrong with Hoontech DSP24 Value.

Ive Been using this card for a while, it sounds clean, and has super low latency. Only 1 input / 1 output but seriously, unless youre like recording live drums you don't really need more!

At the time I paid 300 Canadian including the digital I/O bracket shipped from Korea to Canada.

I'm sure its much cheaper now.

Yo Influx, yep I've used the Digitech prog and I agree, seems whack to me. I always just figured it was my system that made it so out of line, but maybe it's just the software. My 96/PST works just fine...
