I just heard this for the milllionth time on the radio at the local pool room, and...honest to god, this is the first time I can remember ever noticing the massive compression on the drums in the intro.

am I just deaf...or...what? I mean..I know its a fairly common technique, and might even have been then, but...I was playin my game, heard the beat start and thought "whats this then? listen to that compression! that sounds awesome! holy crap its "Dont Bring Me Down!"

then the breakdown in the middle with that wierd sliding sound...

sample fodder, indeed!

cheers, influx...

I sampled that intro like 7 years ago and made a Jungle track out of it...

I have the hits seperated and the loop someplace... hmmm... might be on an old ZIP disk... ahem... gimme an email address and I'll send 'em to ya...

interested in hearing what I did with it? I think I have the original track somewhere too... might sound dated nowadays... but the drums are so huge, I love it...

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

that was it. its been a while, and Im fucking getting old I guess. got CRS apparently. happens

and...errata...sent me a CD of tracks a long time ago, no?
