I just got one...mostly cuz my bass station doesnt have a thru port, and I wanted to be able to use the sounds in my Emax (also a controller)...anyway..I got it for $10 and I am purely stoked...1 in 8 out switchable...well worth the cash.
The dude had a few, so if you need one let me know and mebbe...

switchable? does that mean you can switch it to a merge box? because pretty soon i will be needing a merge, if i get another keyboard (non-module that is) because on my fucking juno you cant turn of local control so its a shitty controller...a variety of other reasons too...and i don't want to have to use the juno as a module...oh fuck it, i'll worry about it when i get there...

No-switchable as in 1 in--8 outs, or 2 ins--4 outs each

I bought a Philip Rees 1 in 4 out thru box (not switchable or anything), It's pretty essential really, if you have more than a couple of midi instruments / effects, All the cheaper stuff won't have thru connections so you need that box.. I think mine cost 20ukp new.

As long as we are sort of on the subject, perhaps someone could tell me how many separate instruments I can expect to chain together without signal degradation? Does a box like the ones you're talking about solve that problem?
Thanks
