If I use Vienne2 to create a new SF2 bank and load it into Cakewalk6 via the soundfont manger , I cannot see the bank or patch names. The
problems does not occur if I construct a bank in
Vienna1. Anyone experienced the same
problem or tell me what I'm doing wrong?

i don't use soundfonts but i do use cakewalk - when you want cakewalk to display the patch names of an instrument in general you have to make sure that you have assigned that istruemnt to the midi port/channel you're using....

e.g if you're using midi port 3, midi channel 1, then you have to make sure that port3channel1 is linked to the soundfont instrument definition (you do this by double clicking on the midi channel box to bring up the selection dialog, then choosing "assign instruments").....

mind you, i'm using cakewalk 6. your version may be different.
