I was reading in keyboard magazine and I noticed that Sample CD's come in two formats: Audio CD and another format for only Akai, Emu, and I even saw Yamaha. The latter were Twice as expensive. Why are the specified formats so much more? And how do the Sampler's Read them? My stereo CD player has a digital output and I'm going to buy a Sampler
that can Sample Digitally. MY pc has a CD-rom drive, but I have no SCSI. I have no SCSI. god has forgotten me

correct..... the cdroms read direct from digital.... so theoretically, there is no noise accumulated when inputting, and no end or beginning silence to trim off etc like if you sample into an analog audio input.... they load fast and work fast.... there ya go...
