I am an electronica/dance music junkie, i love the stuff. I have been thinking about getting into making my own mixes and junk but i don't even know where to start. i was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions, i would prefer to start out solely on my computer and work towards a full studio eventually, but i figured for getting started a computer program would probably be best to fiddle around with to create some original sounds and such.

If anyone has any suggestions of a cheap/free downloadable program or some helpfull advice i would greatly appreciate any feedback i could get.

also some good sites or something for some helpfull tips and help on learning how to work with the programs and equipment would be a plus too.

thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

for dirrect access you can email me some information to....

Well as far as a site with helpful tips your already there ! Just do a search of the forums there is tons of good info here.

As far as a good program to start with, most people would probably recomend Orion and Fruity loops as the cheaper programs and Reason and Project 5 as the more expensive programs for getting started.

Any of these 4 are all in one virtual studios they all have slightly different features so my recomendation would be to download the demos of these 4 programs and give em a try and see which one you like. Any of them are a great way to learn the basics, I like Orion and project 5 myself but thats just me.
