yup..... ran out today..... in the bios you can disable un-used comm ports.... so i did, and gained one... just enuff.....also, i dunno about others, but on this M'boards bios, you can disable the video Bios from being loaded into memory..... so i did..... dunno if that'll help at all..... just wanna get rid of this crashing VST.....

anyways... set-up the DAL Card-D Plus, as the main VST card.... then re-installed the Tahiti, for the midi (i have got also a spare MPU card).... anyways.... the midi timing seems acceptable , (if one has no hardware option)..... and i've got the tahiti as VST Buss-B..... seems to work ok..... got a few tracks routed to the Buss-B, including the reverb coming from another track directed to master-out.... alll going so far... if it don't crash, then...er..... well..... we wont talk too soon.... i wonder if the tahiti can be handled ok as simply a midi port, or if having the masster audio card different yet STILL having the tahiti onboard works out better.....dratted thing is, the DAL card is so pro-orientated, you cant add-in a cd player feed to sample off cd's from the PC cd-player...... oh well.... other thing is, since i disabled the Video-Bios ram load up.... you can fuck about alot with the screen, and there is no-more of that cd-jitter .... so far......anyway, there it is....

I had the same problems when installing my Terratec Card - had to disable so many damn IRQ's. Now I use a serial mouse (using only one com port/other one is disabled) instead of a PS/2 mouse to free up IRQ 12.

Try trying to work arod a netwrok card, which loves the same IRQs as sound cards (and memory addresses too! Too a couple of days of fiddling to get 2 sound cards and a network card rolling.
