I have recorded some songs and wanted to lay downa vocal track for the first time. I use a Beheringer 1602A, and use Cubase as sequencer. I found that my vocals were very low and not really audilbe while other tracks were playing. what do I need to do?

dunno how cubase works; never used it...but some multitrack progs don't show you the individual waveforms...make sure when you look just at the vocal track that it's peaking near the 100% mark; and it would also help to compress it. once you know that the wav file containing the vocals is optimized, fuck with the level in cubase (if necessary)

What kind of music? What kind of vocal track are you trying to lay down, and how are you recording it? what kind of soundcard do you have, and are you attemping to HD mulitrack your vocals, or are you doing tape? If it's in an industrial kinda vein, I've really found that digital distortion does nice things to vocals... Amplify it way the fuck out, And then reduce the amplitude of the resultant square wave distorted signal... PSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHH.... But I have no idea what effect you're trying to achieve.. Let us in on it, dammit! (Belligerant, as usual
