i just got the link to this proggie; it's 500K and here's what I heard about it: (i think it's called the AXS something or other..)

32 note poly, analog modelling synth + sampler(with filters)+ sequencer + drum unit. (i think.) Maybe it's cack, i haven't tried it yet....let's see...

it's way cool but it's DOS based... ie. you can't run it simultaneously with other windows apps...

yes, so I see....I'm also sorta tired of softsynths....hmm....anyway if you want to use it, just make a loop with it and then import it into a windows DA prog. I know it's not as good as realtim controls, but if it has some good sounds, then....
