So, my MSY2 finally arrived, so now I'm halfway to getting my 303 synced up to Logic. Whoo hoo.

Now, I'm aware that Midi and Sync Cables both use a 5 pin din style connector, but both have different pin arrangements. Heh. And nobody (That I know of) makes specific sync cables any more.

Do midi cables usually come with ALL the pins wired, or are they cheap and just use the ones that are applicable for Midi? Are there any brands of Midi cable that you know for sure that they wire up all the pins, so it could be suitable for a Sync? Or a Din with all 5 pins wired?

If not, anywhere in the US that sells Din cables?? Would Radioshack carry them? Back in the day, they probably did.

Cheers.

afaik it's usually devices that don't have all the pins wired up.. anyone sells you a cable like that.. (well i wouldn't be surprised... esp. you   but..)

a midi cable will work for din.

Yah, got it working now. Cut up some Midi Cables and rewired them. Awesome. Knobs
and twisting and stuff.
