Original Message 1/4 15-Oct-98 @ 04:22 PM - JP 8K help needed!
my MIDI songs to make JP-8000 noises? I tried to do what you said in
your midi section, but it didn't work... I need a step-by-step guide for
(exclusively) the JP-8000. I have had it for 3 months and I still can't
do this! I have used all the other toys that I could understand... Buzz,
ReBirth, Hammerhead, RubberDuck, VAZ, LDB, Stomper blah blah blah... I
have numerous MIDI files that I want to make come alive!.
I am recording all the time, but I can't get my JP-8000
user-patterns to sync with ReBirth or my MIDI program. It seems that
every developer has a different idea of what 140 bpm is. I don't have
anything that could sync them to start all at once (which would be
nice), and likie I said before I am an idiot. If someone could tell me how
to get songs from either Cakewalk Audio Pro 6.0 or MidiSoft Studio 4.0
into my JP-8K I would bevery grateful.

cakewalk... have you got the midi devices selected correctly??
check the midi-devices menu
make sure the one for midi-out is highlighted..
when it is got to the instrument setup page and whichever channel your using set it to midi-out which should now be on the list of drivers..
check this in instrument setup... if you havent got a device on the left for midi-out then it is'nt highlighted in the midi-devices screen...
make sure the midi channel is the same as the one on the jp
.....got to go now...
