Wondering how can I make that recognisable deep bass used in jungle and speed garage tracks?
It's the sound close to saying "wouah" i.e. opening filter or is it FM ?
Don't want to use ready samples? got to learn programming those sounds in Roland xp-50 or any software (sound forge's "FM synthesis", Generator etc..)

i believe you could make one using a squarewave with a a sub-osc sine wave as the "meat" of the bass.
basically make a filter that opens up quick at the beginning for the "wha" part of it ... while it's doin that they you could modulate the oscillators pitch by the same envelope so it drops in pitch as the filter opens ... um, make sure you have some resonance so it'll "wouah" ...
so the envelope would be like ...
____
/ ----
/ -------
/ -----------
quick at the beginning, fade out a little at the end. i guess.
