But I guess I got you`r attention somehow. er...
Ahem.
I am an idiot.Just so you know it.
ok, what I like to know is how to make a drumset in Gigasampler.
Because when I import a wav to the instrument editor and I lay it over a REGION of say 5 notes all is fine(the first note is the original pitch and the other five is pitched as they should). Then I import another wav and lay it on the REGION which is the next five notes. What happens?? The second wav is pitched. The original pitch isn`t even there! It`s like gigasampler is in multisampling or something.
To explain again: If I say sample a bass-kick, and put it to c-2, then I sample a snare hit and lay it to d-2 this will be pitched two notes from it`S original value. AND needles to say, with 3 or 4 more samples(imported wavs) the drums sound utterly plastic, thin and shrill.
If anyone has used a sampler they`ll know it`S the "one-key"-sample mode I am after.
ANY suggestions to solutions is deeply appriciated.
Yours truly machine man

i.e. your kick is on C-2 and in tune, put a snare on C-3 and it's a whole octave out right? then you have to detune the snare sample by -12.. hey presto it plays right.

if I put a snare on d-2 (the whitekay after C-2)it needs to be detuned -1?? . and the hi hat on e-2 needs -2 and so forth??
Sounds plausible, but how about giga mixing them up togeather?? as it thinks I will have the snare sample assigned to the same key(physical keyboard key) A kind of transpose stupidety??
anyhow, I`ll try.
Thanx
