Hello,

I am wondering if the Emu Esie 4000 is compatible with a zip drive (using the scsi).
If you have such configuration, or tried and fail, let me know.
Thanks,
Happy grooves,

Ludo

E-mu certainly thinks it is. they ship a version with an internal (SCSI) Zip installed. and on their web page, they've listed Iomega Zip as being OK with ESI v3.0.

Zip is pretty much a standard at this point. i would guess that just about any sampler developer is going to test his SCSI port with a Zip drive.

My emu esi32 works with the iomega zip drive so the esi 4000 must be.

What about the Zip-Plus (SCSI and PC-Parallel port capability, auto-detect.) Is this supposed to work?

whenever i see "ZIP Plus" in conjunction with talk about hooking up to samplers, it's always preceded by or follows the statement "doesn't work".
