I heard both of these units are amazing. I havent had hands on experience with them and every music store near me doesnt carry them so there is no way i could try either one.
Anyone used any of these units? Whats your experience with them, or what have you heard.

i've got a Sherman. it has a unique sound very filthy, capable of extreme distorted sounds etc, good for jungle/dnb/hardcore/breaks, but a) is only mono input, and b) you can hardly ge something *not* filthy from it (well actually with sherman V2 you can get clean filtering because they introduced input sensitivity switch). i think Mutator is more flexible because it is stereo, and can do clean filtering as well as distortion. (but it can never sound like sherman )

IMO. Mutator hands down. But it depends on what kind of music you produce.

the akai MFC32 is very underrated .. an exelent dual filter, one stero, one mono, has a very wet resonance, sounds great,.. does both: very creamy or nasty...built in (analouge?) phaser and distortion and everything is 100% midi ... inexspensif aswell..
