for all you northeasterners, the Guitar Center has a special on the Alesis Wedge - $99! seems they bought a fuckload of them, trying to get people in the store.

it's real sweet sounding and quick to prog. hmmm, at that price, mebbe i shoulda bought two...

Mindspawn - pretty fucking cool for a hundred bucks, eh?!

Rouge - the Wedge is a really neat little reverb unit, that also does delays and chorusing type effects (flange, phase, and pitchshift too, methinks). the reverbs are really sweet - takes a shit all over my Studio Quad. and it's a little tabletop unit with 4 sliders for editing, so it's super easy to prog cool effects patches quickly.

i spent a couple hours after i got mine just tweaking and coming up with new progs with the same drum loop going over and over... much fun.

I talked to my buddy at Guitar Center, and he said he can't even get an employee discount for himself on it. This is what makes GC great, but if you shop from them for anything but the blow-outs you'll be sorry

so can the wedge compare to a lexicon (quality) in profestional vocal mixdowns. i am producing my first album. i want that lexicon sound quality.
