Subject: Unreal Tournament Xmas Songs

I spent the day at work rewriting some Christmas songs to make them appropriate for UT and UT2k3. Here are a couple:

DM all the way.
Oh what fun
It is to frag
On a server that's not gay
ooooooh
5 on 5
6 on 6
Loads of run 'n gun.
Don't stop blowin
Heads away
Til you're certain that you've won.
Transp'ing through a map
With a keybind to your zark
There's no time to nap
Your opponent's sharp.
Once he prances by
You shoot him in the head
Then you have to run again
Cuz he won't be too long dead
ooooooooooh

I'm beginning to think the bots like Christmas
Ev'rywhere they go;
Just spectate in a map or two, they won't even know it's you
With deemers setting eachother aglow.
I'm beginning to think the bots like Christmas ,
Camping ev'ry flag,
But the funniest sight to see is the holy s*** kill by Rhea
On your own pc.
A pair of jumping boots and a rifle that shoots
Is the wish of Loque and Cryss;
Bots that will talk and will go after Hawk
Is the hope of Karog and Aryss;
And Nikita can hardly wait for the map to start again.
I'm beginning to think the bots like Christmas
Ev'rywhere they play;
There's some health in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well,
The stealthy kind that seems to make you glow.
I'm beginning to think the bots like Christmas;
Soon the game will start,
And the thing that will make them ping is the bandwidth that you bring
Right within your heart.
Pings We Have Heard On High
Dam this ping is way too high,
Packet losses, what a curse
And your voices in reply
Teamspeak makes things even worse.

In reponse one of my clanmates wrote this one. My game name is {eZs}Homer Simpson:
Homer, the red-skinned fragger
had a very shiny gun.
And if you ever saw him,
you may have called him a bum.
All of the other members,
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Homer
play any important games.
Then one foggy Christmas eve
Wardog came to say:
"Homer with your gun so bright,
won't you defend my base tonight?"
Then all the members loved him
as they shouted out with glee:
"Homer the red-skinned fragger,
you'll go down in history!"
We do have fun

i think it's good anytime today's youth makes ANY stretch towards poetry
and the finer arts.
the problem with places like this is the fact that we get to so easily make those stretches in full-view of our best-friends and family.
i think emily dickinson would agree that a free-style lounge or rant & slaggit-forum would be appropriate for such activities.

emily dickinson never played unreal tournament though. no wonder her poetry was only loved by the masses.
