Yamaha cdr102 ...had it for 3 years no problems

Plasmon did a decent cheap one... it won best cd writer in a few mags regardless of price.... very cheap... dunno what model it was tho.... the media U use is equally important

yep media...had problems with maxell discs once...so did friends...also some un-branded can be dodgy...having said that Im using some unbranded silver cds just now, blue on the copy side...they look cool...more like production cds...they only cost 89p heheheh...

.... I do my recording jobs with a Yamaha CDR 400t.
Works fine, no trouble at all.

Kodak IDE model...Really cheap. $540 Australian 6 months ago..probably even cheaper now.

I've got a Yamaha re-recordable with scsi card and it
works great. I'm using Princo gold disks with no
worries and no coasters to speak of. My setup came from
Traxdata.
